About Flatline
Flatline Guitars was created for musicians itching to play vintage style guitars with classic lines and incredible tone. While there are many period guitars being produced right now, most of them look like they've been dragged behind a train. Our goal is to build beautiful guitars that look like they were retrieved from the window display of a guitar shop in a bygone era. These are true players' guitars with necks and bodies handmade in the USA, built to take the ravaging forces of touring.
Our recipe for mind blowing tone in built around the crisp punch of a p-90 style pickup, warmed up by our selection of tone pots and proprietary wiring methods. The visual appeal of our guitars is a blend of 1950's and 1960's guitar styles mixed with visual cues from automobiles of the same period. We set out to create the type of guitar James Dean might have played.
Each of our guitars is hand built and set up by Flatline founder Rick Lockhart and his father Rick Sr. AKA Big Rick. We are headquartered in Aberdeen, Washington - a gritty town with logging roots that was also the hometown of Kurt Cobain and the birthplace of grunge rock. We look forward to showing you that the unparalleled work ethic, uncompromising attitude, and pioneering spirit of our town are reflected in the construction and playability of our guitars.
